This University is named after India’s Beautiful TWIN ISLANDS Twin Islands is a beautiful Provincial Park. These two islands earned their name because they share a sandy beach connecting them together at low tide this also an historical educational Gurukul (Education) where ancient priests, gurus and saints used to teach Scriptures of the creation and Adhravana Veda which deals with the Health sciences.
Since we are submitting for Guyana we are here by providing emphasis on only Guyana projects.
⦁ Building a Full-fledged University in Berbice so that ALL Guyanese and Overseas students can get access to Quality education.
⦁ University town ship will be built dormitory, supermarket and other businesses for the commodities will be developed. So that real estate of area will be an attraction for foreign and as well local investors.
⦁ Medical tourism also can be promoted with the help of research centers and nature cure hospitals, and Rejuvenated therapies as a part of Integrated Medicine, etc.
⦁ Enable to make Berbice an attractive environment for the foreigners.
⦁ Twin Island would establish the international bank branches, call centers and IT ventures and Bio ethanol plants modern industries etc.

Student body
Caribbean offshore medical schools have less than 5% local students and the rest are mainly from North America, Africa and India. They are also relatively younger than their North America counterparts. Presently, No age limit is there for any degree.
Faculty
In most educational faculty in Caribbean offshore schools are physicians or medical teachers from US, India, Guyana with at least a MD degree, some with PhDs. Lacking research faculties, the student-to-teacher ratio ranges between 9:1 and 13.

Instead of getting research grants and local government funds, offshore schools often depend on wealthy students from out of country. The spending by foreign students and faculty, as well as increased local employment is a significant factor in the local economy. s

Growth
According to the World Bank, establishing a medical school in Caribbean is significantly easier than in the states. Schools are not required to do research and perform clinical training as LCME accreditation demands. Typically it only requires a business license to open a medical school in the Caribbean and get listed in the International medical Education Directory (IMED), which qualifies their students to undergo the ECFMG certification process.
The increasing number of schools has both positive and negative effects. On one hand, low initial cost in establishment increased competition that in turn increases the quality of service. On the other hand, this created a big demand in clinical rotations that even the large states have problem accommodating, let alone their home country, and draw attention from US and Canada auditors who are concerned over public loan use.

TNIU is the only university and also first fully fledged international university which can offer courses in Medicine, MBA, Masters and Engineering etc.
Twin Island is committed to give quality education to their students.
The committee decided to acquire land from the Government of Guyana and full fledge the building in East Berbice. The committee will initiate the structuring of a new strategic plan for the university in 2020. The resulting document, “The Way Forward: TNIU Guyana 2020 – 2025 Strategic Plan,” was endorsed by the Board of Trustees in January 2014 and will guide the university’s vision and decision-making through the end of the decade. New infrastructure will be added to this site as work progresses on achieving the strategic plan goals.
“The Way Forward: TNIU Guyana 2014-2020 Strategic Plan” is the framework that guides university administrators in long- and short-term planning and decision-making. It has five overarching goals:

⦁ enhance the accomplishment of students through modernized education
⦁ enhance local and global engagement through focused strategic partnerships.

⦁ TNIU strives to provide and deliver professional education in learning-friendly class rooms and laboratory and library facilities.
⦁ TNIU is actively planning to develop campus in the East Berbice/ Corentyne district, with branches on the East Coast of Demerara and on the West Coast of Demerara/ East Coast of Essequibo by 2020.
⦁ Enhance the accomplishment of our students through modernized education
⦁ TNIU will ensure that students make advancement towards completing the respective training and academic programs in a timely manner. TNIU will continue to provide educational opportunities that inspire students to lead, to serve, to challenge, to take responsibility, to build problem-solving skills, and to engage with complex problems.
⦁ The admissions plan is to increase to 125 new students’ per semester consistently by 2020.
